Affordable Rental Requirements and Process:

To be eligible for these units, at least one member of the houosehold bust be 59 years old or older. Tenants must have Status in Canada, falling under one of the specified categories, Citizen, PR, or Refugee status. At initial occupancy, each household must have income that does not exceed four times the annual equivalent of the monthly Occupancy Cost for the unit. Occupancy Standards:

The household must include a minimum of one person per bedroom, with couples sharing a bedroom, allowing a maximum of two persons per bedroom. Duplicate registrations are not permitted, and residents are responsible for setting up and paying utilities through a third-party provider.

Application Process:

Upon registration, applicants will be part of a random draw process, if your registeration gets drawn, you'll receive an electronic application form. Once you receive the form, you'll have five days to complete the application. To ensure a smooth application process, prepare all required documentation, including the 2022 Notice of Assessment and Proof of Status in Canada identification. Landlord screening includes considerations such as credit checks, income verification, and references.
